Taupō District Council – Lake Terrace Renewal Improvement
Corridor Solutions was engaged by Taupō DC to create a concept design for Lake Terrace which required minimal capital funds that could be incorporated into the programmed asphalt renewal. We were given one week to produce the initial ideas which were well received by the TDC team including the General Manager. We presented the concepts in council chambers and there was agreement to trial some of the changes prior to removal of the existing surface. However, changes in TDC personnel and the pressure of major events meant that the concept was not implemented.
Waimahana Marae Safe System Audit
As part of a papakāinga project several houses are being developed in the parcel of land adjacent to Waimahana Marae to the east of State Highway 5. As part of the project a new intersection is to be constructed close to the existing accessway and Corridor Solutions undertook a Safe System Audit of the design, this led to several road safety improvements being incorporated into the design.
Taupō District Council – Traffic Management Coordinator
Corridor Solutions currently undertakes the TMC role for Taupō District Council. This has involved us giving presentations to TDC staff to help them further understand TTM requirements along with working with local TTM contractors to coordinate work. A key achievement of this project was working with V8 Supercars to ensure the inaugural event operated smoothly on TDC roads, including the Track to Town convoy.
Downer – SH1 SH29 Road Inspection
As part of Downers establishment to construct a roundabout at the SH1/SH29 intersection Corridor Solutions were asked to undertake a road inspection to document the existing condition of the road. We utilised our 360 GoPro camera to undertake an all faults inspection.
